The Helen Blakey Memorial Award was presented to Glenn Hofland at the Flowers Canada Design show in Mississauga, Ont., on Oct. 17.  Velta Berzins proudly presented the award to Hofland on behalf of Flowers Canada Toronto Chapter. This prestigious award is given for outstanding leadership within the Canadian floral industry and dedication to community service.



Larger Florists Due 60 Per Cent of Hard Goods Sales
Florists with sales over $500,000 comprise more than 60 per cent of total hard goods sales. Florists heavily involved with hard goods (20 per cent of sales or greater) represent more than half of all hard goods sales. Hard goods/gifts items comprise about 16 per cent of total florist sales, according to a recent WF&FSA survey.
