Flowers Help Second World War Couple Reconnect |

Every Nov. 23, Helga
receives flowers for her birthday. The 87-year-old Torontonian has been
the recipient of birthday blooms, on order from Germany, for the past
30 years. However, Helga’s floral surprise is unique for many reasons.
The flowers tell the story of a relationship that began 60 years ago
before the Second World War and through a simple bouquet, still
continues today.
