Canadian Floral Design School Preparing for Classes in Dubai
The Canadian Institute of Floral Design of Toronto, Ont. announces it will be taking its Professional Floral Design and Advanced Floral Design Programs to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The CIFD is heading overseas for five weeks to teach the educational design program to students and business owners in Dubai.

The request to CIFD came from one of the largest florist chains in Dubai. The company is encountering difficulty in recruiting suitable, well-trained florists to work in their high-end floral shops that are located in the five- and seven-star Dubai hotel district.

To prepare for the trip, CIFD has invited two new design instructors to the faculty. Nemo Nauta is a Floral Art Dutch Master from the Netherlands. His floral career spans more than 30 years in the industry and he has won many design awards. Although his home base is Toronto, he is in demand for both his design abilities and consultation across Asia, Europe, South America and Australia.

Darren J. Lazarenko is another new instructor to the school with a design career of more than 20 years. He has instructed at a number of educational facilities, including the University of Guelph, Humber College, Seneca College and the Burlington Arts Centre. Lazarenko has created numerous award-winning display booths at industry trade shows and has been guest designer at wholesale and retail shows across Canada.
