Florists Name Fresh Product as the Number One Quality They Look for in a Wholesaler
In a report released by the Chain of Life Network, surveyed florists in the U.S. said fresh product was one of the most important things they look for in a wholesaler.

The report entitled “How do traditional retail florists perceive their wholesale cut flower suppliers?” by Tim and Tom Prince examines six different qualities that wholesalers offer. The results were ranked between one and zero, with one representing an excellent association with that particular factor. The rankings were:

• Freshest product available = 0.82
• Highest quality cut flowers = 0.80
• Provides value for price paid = 0.74
• Implements proper floral care and handling = 0.66
• Best at managing the cold chain = 0.47
• Delivers via refrigerated trucks = 0.42

Through this research, the authors conclude that managing the cold chain is not as major a concern of florists as they feel it should be
