Pick Ontario Freshness Campaign Launches in Ontario
On June 21, the Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) premiered its new Foodland Ontario campaign called “Pick Ontario Freshness.” The campaign was established to remind Ontario consumers to chose Ontario agricultural products. Flowers Canada Growers were at the announcement as representatives of the floriculture industry. Because the entire campaign applies to the entire agricultural sector, flowers and plants are included in the “Pick Ontario Freshness” campaign.

In March, OMAFRA committed to invest $250,000 into the Ontario floriculture industry as part of this campaign. The money will be funnelled into educating consumers about the benefits of purchasing Ontario-grown flowers and plants.
