Floristware is pleased to announce that a special
educational version of the FloristWare point-of-sale system is now
available, free of charge, to schools and colleges offering floral
design and florist training programs.
“We’re always interested in expanding our curriculum to ensure our students receive the most relevant training possible for their floral careers. The FloristWare system is great – we’re excited about the opportunity to extend this practical knowledge to our students!” says Beverley Woodburn of The Academy of Floral Design – Pacific Rim – Vancouver. Response from educators has been excellent and a variety of schools – from small floral design schools to community colleges – are already using FloristWare in the classroom and, in some cases, their associated training stores. Susan Page of FloristWare is the initial liaison with the schools. Kathy Johnson, a retail florist and shop owner of many years who recently left that side of the business to join FloristWare, is in charge of “practical” support – helping the schools and their students understand how they can best use a POS system like FloristWare to improve their business. FloristWare is committed to supporting 20 schools by the time the fall 2007 semester starts. If you are with a school or college and are interested in learning more, please contact Susan Page at 1-888-531-3012, ext. 708 or
