A private member’s bill was introduced in the legislature in November seeking to increase the minimum wage to $10.00 an hour. Premier Dalton McGuinty said that while he supported the concept, that big an increase would be impractical. The motion was defeated in the second reading.
Interesting to note that this is the same legislature that found a 25 per cent increase in pay for parliamentarians practical?
