AIFD Offers Partners Marketing Package
Baltimore, Md. – Recognizing a need to expand floral design education opportunities, for the first time in over 40 years, the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) is “going commercial,” reports Chris Norwood AIFD, president of the Institute. According to Norwood, AIFD has developed a new program that will allow leading floral industry companies to better position themselves as partners with AIFD in presenting cutting-edge professional floral design education throughout the year but particularly during the acclaimed AIFD National Symposium.

“In return for various levels of financial and product support of the AIFD Symposium,” explains Norwood, “the Institute will offer a dynamic package of marketing opportunities including infomercials, e-mail blasts, web banners, advertising in its membership directory and Symposium education book, and much more.”

AIFD’s executive staff has been directed to begin to contact existing AIFD Industry Partner Members to advise them of the new opportunities. Several of them were surveyed previously and, according to AIFD Executive Director Tom Shaner, expressed excitement about the new opportunities. “They all seemed to feel that the return on investment is superior in terms of marketing potential,” said Shaner.

AIFD Industry Partners are being asked to become a Rose Partner (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Contributor) of the National Symposium. The financial commitment ranges from $2,500 to $15,000.

AIFD will begin to solicit Partners immediately. The 2007 National Symposium will take place in Palm Desert, Calif., July 7 to 11.
