Direct2Florist,
an Internet order generator that was founded a year ago in the United
Kingdom, has teamed up with WF&FSA to help bring the program to
florists in the United States and Canada.
Direct2Florist is a
website that allows consumers around the world place orders directly
with a traditional local florist. To get their shop posted on the site,
florists must sign up with the company and pay an annual membership
fee. Florists can upload pictures of their shop and up to 40 products,
and select their delivery area. This information will appear in the
shop’s listing when a consumer searches for a local florist in their
area. When a consumer places an order, they pay the florist’s delivered
price plus a small transaction fee. The florist is then notified of the
order.
WF&FSA has announced that they will help manage the program in the U.S. and Canada.
