Vriesea ‘Snow White’
vrieseaA Bromeliad with white flowers? Yes, it is possible as the new Vriesea ‘Snow White’ has just proved. The plant has been launched at the perfect moment to slot into the trend for the coming winter and of course, the colour is also ideal for use during the Christmas season. The uniquely shaped spike produces tiny, branches with snow-white tips and pale yellow to green flowers. A very subtle colour combination. It is not surprising that this plant was nominated by FloraHolland for the title ‘most-promising house plant novelty of 2006.’  Vriesea ‘Snow White’ is grown in a 12-cm pot and is about 55 cm tall. (Flower Council of Holland)
