Zantedeschia aethiopica ‘Grace’
zanteclesohiaThe new Zantedeschia aethiopica ‘Grace’ is an improvement even on the legendary ‘Green Goddess.’ The spathe (bract) is no longer than 25 cm, the flower is a size smaller and rather more tapered than that of ‘Green Goddess’; consequently, it looks less fragile. The green of the bract is also brighter and the end effect is one of a contemporary and fresh contrast of white and green. The colour of the spadix (flower spike) is off-white.

The lovely looks of Zantedeschia aethiopica ‘Grace’ go hand in hand with a noble disposition; this flower has an excellent vase life of more than six weeks, which certainly constitutes an improvement in quality. Nor are the stems a source of disappointment, with an average length of between 90 and 100 cm. This Calla is more versatile than its cousin ‘Green Goddess.’ The cut flower is also perfect to use as a pot, container or garden plant, but will only be grown for cutting in the foreseeable future.
