Poll: 22 per cent will buy flowers for mom
A new poll commissioned by Teleflora, reveals that 22 per cent of U.S. consumers, whose mothers are still alive, will buy flowers for mom this Mother's Day.

The poll was conducted by Harris Interactive between Feb. 27-29 and included 2,521 U.S. residents, aged 18 and older. The poll also revealed the following:

  • 43 per cent of men will spend $50 or more on bouquets while only 24 per cent of women will spend the same amount.
  • Almost half of respondents are planning to buy mom a bouquet this year and anticipate spending between $25 to $50
  • Approximately 46 per cent of people said they would select roses for mom over other floral varieties.
