Velta Berzins, CAFA, entered the floral industry 13 years ago and was awarded her CAFA designation in 2001. After a successful career in the corporate world, Velta decided to turn her creative talents loose and spend her days honing her floral skills. Unable to completely turn her back on her organizational skills, she is currently on the boards of Flowers Canada Toronto Chapter, CAFA, Canadian Tulip Festival 2006, and is the Director of the Student CAFA program. She is a member of the World Flower Council and Chair of Retail Floristry at Seneca College. Her personal mandate is education within our industry and for blossoming florists. She currently holds the position of purchasing manager and leads the creative design team at Tidy's Flower Inc. in Toronto.
