With Chicago’s renowned Michigan Avenue serving as a magnificent backdrop, the American Institute of Floral Designers’ (AIFD) 2008 National Symposium will feature over a dozen floral design education programs presented by industry experts from throughout the United States as well as Europe, Asia and Australia.
“Featuring an impressive lineup of programs and presenters from around the globe we’ve tailored the program to amaze, inspire and rejuvenate our attendees’ passion for design,” said institute president Tom Simmons AIFD.
Taking place July 3-7 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, “Collaboration…Floral Education” will also feature several networking events as well as exclusive special events taking place.
AIFD stresses that registration to its Symposium is open to all floral industry, special events and interior decor professionals – not just AIFD members. With a sellout expected, all interested parties are encouraged to make their Symposium and hotel reservations now at www.AIFD.org.
Considered one of the most dynamic of the floral industry’s design education programs, this year’s Symposium programs will cover topics ranging from real world tips on increasing sales and profits to forecasting wedding and special events trends taking place throughout the United States to cutting edge techniques sweeping through Europe and Asia. The event is partially underwritten by several industry suppliers and organizations. Platinum Sponsors include Accent Décor, AIFD Foundation, Everflora Chicago, Flower Council of Holland and Teleflora.
In addition to the dynamic education program AIFD has in store, the Institute will also conduct its Accreditation Evaluation Session (AES) immediately prior to the Symposium. The AES provides AIFD a means of evaluating prospective members and in so doing granting them the coveted status of being Accredited in Floral Design and a member of AIFD.
Further information on AIFD’s Symposium and AES, including a full schedule of events, is available at www.aifd.org.
