Number of retail florists decline in the U.S.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s County Business Patters, the number of retail florist establishments continues to decrease.

The most recent data shows that the number of florists operating in the U.S fell by 4.3 per cent in 2006 to 20,227, down from 21,135 in 2005. The survey has recorded a decline in florists each year since 1996. From 2006 to 1996, the number of florists dropped by 24.3 per cent.
