Extra resources: Troubleshooting your digital images
Written by Canadian Florist staff
In the August/September issue of Canadian Florist, our Florist Tech column explored how, when used properly, digital images are the perfect way to showcase your design work. Using digital images on your website helps lure customers into your shop when they’re browsing online and displays your design talent to the web world. It’s also an easy way to build a portfolio of your work that you can show off to the bride-to-be when she comes in for a consultation.

In the article "Troubleshooting Your Digital Images" we promised to link to you some great online resources that will help you manage your photos. Here they are!

www.shrinkpictures.com - This site makes it quick and easy to resize large photographs. You can shrink the pictures or add effects in less than a minute!

www.easyphotoresize.com - Similar to the site listed above, this no frills website allows you to shrink, rotate, add an effect or change the file type.

http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/07/how-to-diy-10-macro-photo-studio.html - If you’re taking pictures of a design for your website and want a clean, white background, this blog tells you how to make a homemade light tent to help your images look professional and uniform.

http://miniatures.about.com/od/buyingsellingminiatures/ss/phototable.htm - Another website with tips on how to make your own tabletop light photography stand.

http://cameras.about.com/od/cameratips/tp/Free-Online-Photo-Editors.htm
http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelbasedwin/tp/freephotoedw.htm
Both sites include links to free online photo editors that will allow you to edit, brighten, resize, crop and add fun and interesting effects to your photos.

www.flickr.com - A great website where you can upload, organize and edit your photos so they don’t eat up space on your computer. You can also direct your customers here to check out a gallery of your work.
