Ontario Flower Growers holds annual design competition

The Ontario Flower Growers Co-operative in Mississauga held its 19th annual Intercollegiate Design Competition in March. Students from Conestoga College, Algonquin College, Seneca College and the Canadian Institute of Floral Design each submitted a team of six students with three students designing for the bridal bouquet category and three competing in the “spring bling” theme design category. CAFA judges selected the winning designs and attendees voted on the People’s Choice design. The winners are as follows:

Bridal Category
1st place – Susan McMullin of Algonquin College
2nd place – Elisha Victoria Eakin of the Canadian Institute of Floral Design
3rd place – Sarah Hartsell of Algonquin College
