Birds of a flower flock together

Rebecca Frizzell, CAFD, of The Flower Shop Ltd. in Halifax proves that flowers are for more than just vases. The florist showcased her designs at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (NSCAD) fundraiser for the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia and the Wearable Art Scholarship for NSCAD students. The Flower Shop Ltd. took part in the event for the first time last year and Frizzell decided to take part again this year on her own. The shop’s partnership with the university is a natural one as it is located across the street and the florist is a big supporter of the artist community.

This year Frizzell opted to go all out, taking on a bird theme with an emphasis on natural elements and an appreciation for women’s bodies. The models are all NSCAD students. Here are more pictures from the event:
