On April 20, UFG Floral Supplies presented a design show entitled ‘Images of Style and Colour’ and sponsored by Teleflora at its Burnaby, B.C. location. The event, which attracted 140 guests, started early with guests arriving at the store to browse and shop amidst colourful displays at UFG Floral Supplies before registration began.

The workshops kicked off with a very informative design session by Louisa Lam, AIFD, CPFD, who shared her expertise and talent while designing several

gorgeous arrangements. The second presentation had attendees move over to the auction gallery where Dennis Lawson, general manager of operations of the United Flower Growers Cooperative Association, talked about online buying for fresh product at the United Flower Growers Auction. Teleflora Marketing Counselor Cathy Anstett then spoke on how brand identity helps build business success and offered insightful tips to better gain market recognition. Teleflora Education Specialist Sharon McGukin, AIFD, AAF, PFCI finished off the day and demonstrated new trends for 2009 by combining outstanding designs with six vignettes.
