Julie Drago, AIFD, CCSP

A true passion for the floral industry has fed Julie’s love affair with flowers for more than 25 years. Her commitment to volunteerism and education has seen her hold posts on the Board of Directors of Flowers Canada, Toronto Chapter, and as a featured designer presenting seminars throughout the Maritime provinces and Ontario. In addition to her recent induction into the American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD), she is also accredited by the Canadian staging industry as a Canadian Certified Staging Professional (CCSP). Never content with just one avenue of the industry, she’s formed Julie Drago Designs – home staging, custom floral design and merchandising display at its best! Julie is best known for her association with Creations by Gitta as co-manager and lead designer. This floral event service produces some of Toronto’s largest weddings, galas and corporate events. Julie lives in Vaughan, Ont., with her husband, two children and two cats. For this portfolio, Julie created designs under the theme of interior design.

Squared Off
Standing tall, this design will command attention when placed in front of a boring wall or empty area. The two squares suspended from the branch create the illusion that they are hovering beside the vertical branch and help bring nature indoors.

A Fiery Flow
This bold centrepiece draws the eye down the design by showcasing a harmony of colour that keeps on flowing.

Relaxing Retreat
Used in a bathroom, a sunroom or a living space dedicated to relaxation and rest, this arrangement is accessorized with natural materials like stones and moss to create a soothing atmosphere.

Wrapped Up in Style
Add formal elegance to any dining room table. Made with permanent botanicals, this could be used on a buffet or as a stylish centrepiece.
