Ottawa was flowered into perfection when the Canadian Academy of Floral Art along with BMO Harris Private Banking presented the For the Love of the Bloom Gala at the prestigious Canada Conference Centre. It was the induction night for new CAFA members and the event included a runway show that combined floral and haute couture, music, food and fragrance at its very finest. The profits of this evening, a stunning $65.000, went to Breast Cancer Research. Here’s a quick overview of the grand evening. The place was decorated to the roof and thanks to Designing Trendz transformed into an exquisite lounge party. The atmosphere was amazing as designers, hairstylists, make-up artists and models came together to create stunning runway pieces that left the audience in awe. The catwalk was filled with models wearing Think Pink dresses created by our new CAFA inductees, fragrance models in amazing creations by Domenic Serio, and Canada Girls and Calendar girls in flowered dresses created by Sylvie Bigras. Thank you to Croner Agency for this generous participation. The Ottawa Citizen wrote " the Government Conference Centre looked like anything but a government building Saturday at the inaugural For the Love of the Bloom gala. The black-tie dinner offered 330 attendees the very finest in haute floral couture in a breathtaking setting of flowers, fashion, food, fragrance and music." With that we’ve said it all so last but not least… Thank you, to our many sponsors, you made this all happen! To our wonderful industry leaders you assisted us in flowering this event to perfection. Without your support and belief in this project, we would still be at first base. Thank you so much and we hope to see you all next year! Make sure you don’t miss this one. Check out our photo gallery to see pictures from the event. |
