Teleflora announces its 2010 seminar line-up
Written by Amanda Ryder
March 2, 2010 - Teleflora has announced its 2010 Education Center schedule. For more than 25 years, Teleflora has been the leader in providing education for florists at its state-of-the-art center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Here, Teleflora brings together a team of floral and technology experts, creating a stimulating interactive experience for all who attend.

“At Teleflora, we understand the importance of education for florists who are starting out or interested in refining their craft, so each year we set out to create a rewarding and challenging class line-up,” said Marie Ackerman, AIFD PFCI AAF, Vice President, Education. “With cutting-edge programs and hands-on experience, florists can learn new techniques and business insights to help them build and manage a successful retail business.”

The 2010 education program kicks off in June and continues through October. This year’s classes cover a wide range of topics including floral design that focuses on wedding bouquets, Asian and European style design, and creative designing with permanent botanicals. In addition, the education center is offering an exciting new class, “Testing, Testing...1,2,3: A Primer on Using the Principles & Elements of Design.” The class has been designed for those students who are “certifying” with state and national organizations and want to test their knowledge and ability to incorporate the principles and elements of design into their work. It is a self-evaluation course to help up-and-coming florists determine if they are ready to seek design credentials.
