March 2, 2010 - The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) have invited seven noted Ontario designers to present a programme at AIFD's prestigious 2010 Symposium taking place this July in Boston.
The theme of this year's event is "Revolution." Maija Asaris, AIFD, CAFA, Velta Berzins, CAFA, Donna Gleeson, AIFD, CAFA, Marijke Engel, AIFD, CAFA, Marianne Suess, AIFD, CAFA, Inta Taurins, CAFA and Patricia Patrick, AIFD, CAFA, will show Canada's ethnic diversity through the eyes of its festivals, celebrations and cultural events under the title of Carnival...A Cultural Revolution. The designers will showcase creations which reflect The Quebec Winter Carnival, a First Nations Pow Wow and the Toronto Carabana in a fast moving runway presentation of music, costumes and the finest in floral body wear.
