If you want to capitalize on the bridal market, you need to think bigger than just bouquets. There are plenty of other floral opportunities that you can suggest to a bride who believes in the importance of adding flowers to her big day.
- Celebrate the engagement – Aside from the bridal consultation, this will be the first opportunity to really get to know the bride and groom and their floral preferences. Not only is this engagement party a great way to increase your sales, it will also give you insight on how to work with the bride in the coming months.
- Shower style – Some brides have more than one shower and this means even more orders for you. Flowers can add instant décor to her shower and are also an effective way to incorporate her bridal theme and colours into the event.
- Rehearse the big day – The bride can carry a small sample bouquet during the wedding rehearsal to get a feel for the flowers. The bouquet could also work as a centrepiece at the rehearsal dinner.
- Getting ready – On the day of the wedding, many brides spend the day getting ready with her bridesmaid at a hotel or a room at the venue. Flowers can help personalize the room and create a calming atmosphere. You could also suggest to the groom that he surprise his bride-to-be with an unexpected delivery to help her kick off her day just right.
- The mane event – Let each bridesmaid personalize her look by incorporating a bloom in her hair to complement their dress and bouquet. The bride can go big with a floral headpiece or clip-in design.
- Drive in style – Suggest small floral accents that could be added inside the limousine or car to freshen up the car and get the couple ready for the big event.
- Floral tributes – The bride and groom can remember deceased loved ones at the wedding with floral tributes set up at the ceremony and/or the reception.
- Cover the extra areas – Carry the décor into areas that are easily forgotten such as the restroom or coatroom. Small arrangements will add colour and life to an area that’s likely plain and unimaginative.
- Thanks with flowers – Once it’s all over, the bride and groom can thank the bridal party and both sets of parents with a surprise flower delivery to let them know how much the happy couple appreciates their efforts.
- Make it last – Create a keepsake for the bride by providing a service to properly dry her flowers and preserve them so she’ll remember her bouquet forever.
