 April 15, 2011 - Joel Marc Frappier, MFA, CAFA, of Fleurs Signee in Gatineau, Que., brought haute floral couture to the Steven and Chris Show on March 31.
Frappier demonstrated that flowers and fashion go hand-in-hand when he created a stunning floral dress, with the help of award-winning fashion designer Sylvie Bigras, for the talk show that airs on CBC. Click here to watch the video of Frappier's segment.
The florist and Bigras will also be teaming up to prepare a Haute Floral Couture Fashion Extravaganza at the Canadian Tulip Festival's Tulip Ball on May 6. The duo will prepare six floral gowns and attendees will see flowers like never before in a panoply of colour and varieties with themes that include libre, colour of emotions, wings to fly, transparency and Africa. Frappier is the new artistic director for the 2011 Tulip Ball.
