Jan. 11, 2012 - Bloomers at the Market has received one of two prestigious Retailer of Distinction
awards from the Canadian Gift and Tableware Associationʼs (CGTA) 2011 Retailer of The Year
competition. Considered one of Londonʼs first combination flower shops and known for their innovative approach to floral design, Bloomers at the Market continues to impress with exemplary customer service and a strong commitment to the environment.
Bloomers at the Market is located in Londonʼs historic Convent Garden Market, which provides a unique open-concept store layout and allows the retailer to take advantage of a lively community, while supporting the local food movement by sourcing flowers and fresh produce from other market vendors and local suppliers. The creative combination flower, gourmet basket and gift shop entices customers of all ages. Bloomers at the Market attributes its success to its creative flower design, strong attention to detail, eclectic mix of merchandise and friendly customer service.
“We take pride in meeting the expectations of a broad spectrum of customers. Our reputation is based on excellent customer service and providing a wide range of very long-lasting flowers,” says Bloomers founder, Ian Greasley who began the business 26 years ago. “Establishing our shop as the cityʼs leader in the flower and gift business is something Iʼm extremely proud of.
Weʼre thrilled to be recognized with this award.”
The CGTAʼs Retailer of the Year awards recognize leading retailers in the Canadian gift and tableware industry. A panel of retail judges analyze each competition entry for criteria vital to retail success; visual merchandising and store design, business achievements, advertising and public relations, community involvement, innovation and originality. The judgesʼ review is then followed by a visit from a secret shopper. Bloomers at the Market will receive their prestigious award at a gala dinner, to be held during the Spring 2012 Toronto Gift Show, taking place January 29th – February 2nd.
