InStyle says: Surround Yourself with Flowers
Written by Amanda Ryder
Jan. 12, 2012 - Here’s an article destined for your shop’s Facebook page: In its January issue, InStyle magazine offers a checklist to improve health and state of mind, and “Surround yourself with flowers”  is among the tips.

In the article, “Feel Good Every Day,” the popular women’s fashion magazine tells readers, “There’s a very compelling reason to have beautiful blooms around at all times.” The article cites a Harvard Medical School study in which one group of women received colorful stems of flowers; another, home décor items. “Within a week … the flower group reported feeling more enthusiastic about their daily activities.”

The Harvard research refers to the Home Ecology of Flowers Study,  commissioned in 2006 by SAF and the Flower Promotion Organization (FPO), which SAF continues to promote through the SAF Fund for Nationwide Public Relations.

This article generated more than 5 million consumer impressions, the number of times people are exposed to the message. The SAF PR Fund has generated more than 988 million consumer impressions since its inception in 2001.

Encourage your customers to follow the magazine’s advice for a happier, more enthusiastic year. Download the InStyle article and post it on your Facebook page and websites, and laminate it and place it in your window or next to your register.
